The underground pneumatic energy storage
Pochylý, Jiří ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the underground compressed air enery storage. Thesis can be divided into several parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical analysis which decribes reason of renewable resources implementation to the electric grid and how renewable resources affect electric grid. Second part describes compression and expansion stage. Last part deals with design of storage facility which is suitable for different energy supplies. Extracted coal mines of Rosicko-Oslavany area is used as suitable underground storage.

The introductory view on the pressure load in the underground storage in the exploration zone Milasín-Bukov
Koníček, Petr ; Ptáček, Jiří ; Souček, Kamil ; Staš, Lubomír ; Vavro, Martin ; Waclawik, Petr
The report was prepared as the preliminary opinion on the pressure load resistance of the rock mass inside the gas storage Milasín-Bukov. It comprised the data summary and analysis, which were gained by measuring in mine or by laboratory tests. Rock and rock-mass parameters were obtained by deformation and/or stress/strain monitoring in the roadways in the mine using the index RMR or Q characterized the rock quality. The mechanical and stress/strain conditions were tested in labor on selected rock samples. The rock mass resistance to gas pressure inside the gas storage was determined based on the methodology stress strain in-situ measurements in the before driven roadways in the similar rock-mass conditions. The results were compared with the results of mathematical model.
Present situation and development trends in the area of underground nuclear waste storage sites
Šňupárek, Richard ; Kukutsch, Radovan ; Koníček, Petr
A secure solution of nuclear power plants fuel cycle end is undoubtedly a great technical challenge facing all developed countries, using nuclear energy. High demands on safety performance target solutions are enhanced primarily by the requirement to actually "geological" life of the project period, which represents a period of about 100,000 years. Although currently is not implemented yet neither persistent storage, it is interesting to compare the solutions prepared in different countries from different aspects of natural conditions, structures, volume and time schedules or ongoing research programs. The subject paper is based on publicly available information sources, especially from the pu-blications and presentations at scientific conferences in the last 2 years.
